1. How Much are The Book of Mormon Tickets?

The hilarious, rib-tickling musical, The Book of Mormon, has taken the West End by storm since it first opened in the capital in 2013. Written by the creators of South Park, the musical follows two missionaries as they preach their faith in a remote Ugandan village. Due to its popularity, ticket prices can get quite steep, especially over the weekends and bank holidays. Tickets start as low as £23 and can reach highs of over £170.

There are a few ways to find cheap The Book of Mormon tickets. Sometimes the musical appears in seasonal sales such as London Theatre Week and New Year’s Sales, so we recommend keeping an eye out for those offers. The musical is also partnered with TodayTix where they release a limited number of Rush tickets daily for £25. It’s good to bear in mind that the musical isn’t always included in discounts, especially during peak visiting times.

If you’re not sure where to find The Book of Mormon discounted tickets, we’ve pulled together a guide to making the most of your budget and getting the best affordable tickets below.

2. When Should I Book Tickets for The Book of Mormon?

The musical has good availability around a month out, however, cheaper-priced tickets will sell out earlier. If you’d like to see the production during one of its peak visiting times, such as a weekend or bank holiday, we recommend booking at least 2 months in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you can visit on a week-day, we recommend booking tickets for off-peak performances on Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday. Mid-week performances can save you up to 40% for the best seats.

As mentioned above, The Book of Mormon may be included in seasonal promotions like London Theatre Week and New Year’s Sales. Whilst you may be able to save money with promotions, it’s good to bear in mind that you may not always be able to book far in advance.

3. How Do I Get Last Minute The Book of Mormon Tickets?

If you’re looking for cheap last-minute tickets and you’re already in London, we recommend heading to the TKTS booth in Leicester Square to check discounted same-day theatre tickets. If you’re not in London, you can also check their online listings for discounts. Or, if you’re close to the theatre, why not stop by the box office as they may also have discounted tickets.

TodayTix releases a handful of Rush tickets at 10am every day of a performance for £25 each. The tickets are first-come-first-serve and may be anywhere in the auditorium. We recommend downloading the TodayTix app and signing up for Rush tickets ahead of the show you’d like to try and grab tickets to.

The box office may discount unsold tickets on the day of a performance. At the time of writing, Stalls M3 for tonight’s performance is £35, with the same seat the following week costing 21% more!

Tickets for The Book of Mormon in London for Tuesday 30th April at 19:30. Seats Stalls M3 priced at £42.50

It’s good to bear in mind that tickets aren’t always discounted on the day, especially during the show's peak visiting times such as weekends and bank holidays. We always recommend booking in advance to avoid any disappointment, especially if The Book of Mormon is a must-do for you when visiting London.

9. About the Venue for The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is currently playing at the Prince of Wales Theatre which is a short walk from Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square tube stations, making it easy to access from most places in the city.

As the theatre is located in Central London, there are a range of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, from high-end restaurants to fast food chains and even Chinatown nearby, there’s something for everyone. If you’d like to grab a pre-theatre meal, we recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

The theatre has two bars which serve alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as sweet and savoury snacks before the show and during the interval. The theatre requests that audience members do not bring food or drink purchased elsewhere, however, if you’d like to bring a bottle of water in, this may be allowed by staff on the door.

The venue opens its doors one hour before the performance starts. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance. This gives you plenty of time to get into the theatre, grab a drink and get to your seat. The show runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes and includes a 15-minute intermission. It’s good to bear this in mind, especially if you’re planning your journey home.
